Biography

Tamara Anderson's sublime voice is that of an angel, a rocker, and a sonic stunner who brings down the house wherever she performs. The good news is that Tamara is also a voice teacher who is willing to impart her Grammy winning vocal techniques to the up and coming stars that form her clientele. Her extensive education in vocal technique enables her to pinpoint the problems of modern vocalists and devise the solutions needed for a great performance.

Tamara's nurturing spirit and wicked sense of humor create an ideal learning environment. Her greatest joy is to help her clients to obtain vocal mastery and to create a marketable entertainment product. Her students win the awards, they get the leads, and they perform coast-to-coast at major music venues. Tamara is the teacher/vocal producer/vocalist called upon by highly-recognized recording studios in Chicagoland, New York and LA, whether it is for preproduction or "crunch time."

Tamara founded and conducts The Progressive Singer's Workshop, which reveals the most current, cutting edge vocal techniques needed for success in today's music environment. This master class is an intensive learning experience enabling students to make amazing advances in their vocal abilities during the course of a day.

Tamara's diverse career roles include: recording artist, radio and television voice-over work, jingles (McDonalds, Mattel Toys, John Deere, Ray & Raymond Chevrolet, Catholic Charities and FedEx to name a few) studio producer, and talent developer. Tamara has worked with numerous recording and touring artists on major and independent labels such as FUELED BY RAMEN, DECAYDANCE, RCA, SONY, A&M, ATLANTIC, JIVE RECORDS, and IRIS. Her clients include Dove Award Winners and Grammy contenders. You may have seen her clients on 2008 American Idol, America's Next Favorite Band, Rockstar, VH1 Reality TV, MTV, or in films by Lionsgate and Warner Brothers. Her students have also appeared in the critically acclaimed musicals Miss Saigon and The Million Dollar Quartet.

Tamara serves as a voice teacher/consultant/talent judge for McDonald's Corporation's International Idol, a resounding success that has been featured on CNN, FOX NEWS, and other major international television and radio programs.
